Yes, all home inspector licensees must submit proof of passing an examination offered by the following:

• American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI)
• National Association of Home Inspectors (NAHI)
• National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI)
• Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors (EBPHI)
• International Code Council (ICC).

Are there any experience requirements to be licensed?

No

Are there any other requirements to be licensed?

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Submit application and associated fees
• Submit proof of having errors and omissions insurance coverage in the amount of $100,000

When do the license expire?

All licenses expire annually on June 30th.
